Haagen Daaz is BLISS

Mom pampered my brother and I today by giving us an ultimate treat at Haagen Daaz, 1U. Absolutely AWESOME!

No matter how many icecream 'brands' I've tasted (Baskin Robbins, New Zealand Natural, Gelato, etc), Haagen Daaz's still the best for me. The texture, taste and everything is just a PERFECT 10.

Birthdays, Cupcakes, & Pokerfaces.

I was supposed to post about this last week but LOL, I only managed to get the pictures today. Jean has been busy with her own assignments and school work, and all the pics that were taken on that HAPPY HAPPY day were all in her camera so yup.

Anyway, last Friday, 6th November, we celebrated Radiance 19th birthday.


I was actually having exams last week but hehe, although yeah my exams were important, but hey! My bestie's bday is equally as important too you know?! So dont gimme that look. And Radiance darling, be thankful. Muahahah! I kid, I kid. xD

Anyway, I finished my Journalism paper asap (I did my best okay?) and drove to Jean's place at about 10.30am to bake the Birthday Cupcakes for Radiance. Poor Jean hadn't got out of bed yet (sorry girl!! D:) and as much as I feel bad, I am very very thankful for her. Honestly, without Jean's help, I don't think everything I planned out for Radiance that Friday would have worked out at all. So for that, THANK YOU SO MUCH, JEAN BABY! You're tooo awesomeee! Jjangg! *thumbs up* ♥

So at 10.30am, Jean and I started our baking. And yes, you got that right. It was my FIRST time baking. Hehehe, I'm so very proud of myself (and Jean of course). Our goal was to make 20 butter cupcakes topped with chocolate sauce, chocolate flakes and colorful maple sugar... thingys. HAHA. XD












Since we could only bake 12 cupcakes per batch (we needed 20), it took us a total of 4 hours to get the everything done. Topping and everything.

It was a lot of hard work, but totally fun and worth it all. =D

So about 4pm, Jean and I left her place to go back to mine so I could bathe and get ready to meet the rest (Ron, Vinod, Radiance, Elvin) at 6.30pm, 1U.

We gave Vinod a call and reminded him of our Surprise(in a way) plan before we left for 1U. The Surprise plan had 2 phases. Phase 1: The 'Treasure Hunt' around 1U, Phase 2: Birthday Cupcake Surprise at Sushi Zanmai.

As soon as we got to 1U, Phase 1 was set into motion. Jean distributed the 7 clues to Vinod and I, and we separated to our respective 'spots'. ROFL! This game is damn fun XD Well, basically, we give Radiance the first clue, she'll have to solve it and it'll bring her to a certain store/place/cafe/restaurant. There, she will then get the second clue and the whole process repeats, making her walk around the whole shopping complex (LOL) till she gets the 7th clue which will lead her to the Final Destination.

Credits to Jean and Vinod for their witty, smart and awesome 'clues'.

It took Radiance (with the help of Elvin) about an hour to get to our last destination, Sushi Zanmai. Jean and I got the place reserved beforehand so we managed to get a table for 6-8. We ate happily, chatted a lot, and finally it was time for Phase 2. *winks*

The freaking nice waiter (thank you so much! xD) who worked there brought the cupcakes out in a HUGE plate, all 19 cupcakes arranged nicely, beautifully lighted, and laid gently on our table.








Radiance was stunned for a while. XD Awwww~ I'll never forget the look on her face. It made all the hard work so darn worth it. And yes, I earned myself a huge big bearhug and lots of thank you's. WHOO! Yay to the Awesome, Nice Me and JEAN! High five, babe!! xD

Of course, if you wanna talk about the taste, hehe, Elvin's friend (and ours'), Jenson ate 5 of them. Says a lot, doesn't it? So I guess my first baking outcome went pretty well. When asked about how it tasted, Jean and I received compliments non-freaking-stop. Whoo! High five AGAIN, babe!! XD








So yeah, we camwhored, laughed, joked some more before we left the 'fishy merry-go-round' of a restaurant at 9.30pm to Ron's place. To do what, you ask?









First time I played (also at Ron's place) with Ron, Vinod, Joel, Daniel, Jean and Ron's dad, I was the big winner of that night too. Beginner's luck? Hmmmm, perhaps. But hey, RM37 is a lot for a 2hr game? xD

Anyway, although my winnings that Friday night wasn't as much as my first time, I won about RM15-20 (cant remember the exact number)?
