Lost in the realms of the Forbidden Kingdom

I finally watched Forbidden Kingdom!!! XD haha.. Despite the rumors I heard about the movie being boring, I was still in hopes that the movie would not turn out like what they said but sadly, I was wrong.

Well, it was not too boring and not too exciting either.

Somewhere in the middle perhaps?

Truthfully, I was still slightly disappointed with it.

Why? For one, the pace was pretty slow to a point where it felt boring at some parts. Although I find the idea of a young boy who was fanatic of martial arts being transported into another dimension a very creative idea, I don't think it's good to have the audience wanting for the movie to reach its climax sooner so that they can go home, right? To add on to that, it was rather uneventful as well but i guess the wittiness and the jokes in the movie made up for it. HAHA!

And I'll have to give them credit for having just a good cast! I mean, come on! It's JACKIE CHAN and JET LI we're talking about here! Many martial art fans have been waiting for both of them to star in the same movie and I guess their wishes came true when the two living legends finally meet for the first time in The Forbidden Kingdom.

Jet Li: I'm gonna poke your eyes!
Jackie: NOO!

I especially loved the fighting scene between the both of them at the temple. It was amusing to watch!! HAHA!! In the movie, Chan plays Lu Yan, a slightly comical figure who is always drinking wine and does a lot of his fighting "drunken" style, while Li plays a mysterious figure known only as the Silent Monk—and their first encounter, in an abandoned temple, leads to a seemingly non-stop series of kicks and blows, choreographed by The Matrix's Yuen Woo-ping, that looks incredible but eventually begins to seem a little long. But what exactly were they fighting for? That, I won't tell. Watch the movie and find out for yourself.

It begins with Jason Tripitikas (Michael Angarano), a generic youth whose age is up to you - could be 12, could be 20. He loves kung-fu movies but can't defend himself against the local bullies. When a pawn shop owner (Jackie Chan) hands him a magical staff, he's transported to ancient China, where he must return the weapon to its rightful owner, the Monkey King (Jet Li, who also stars as a nomadic monk). But that means getting past the evil Jade Warlord (Collin Chou, the one with cool and cruel in emerald-colored eyeshadow). Basically, the whole movie is about how Jason gets the magic staff to the Monkey King and how the Jade Warlord prevents him.

All in all, the whole movie is packaged fairly entertainingly. There is humor throughout the film, from the mocking laughter of the Monkey King himself to Lu Yan's occasional quips, and the action sequences are a marvel to behold, expertly combining physical stunts with computerized effects. The scenery and everything is rather stunning as well.

Despite the flaws, it is still a must-watch for martial arts fans.

Here's the trailer.

I would rate this movie: 3.3/5

('L' still beats this, I would say. HAHA!)

TVXQ Saved a Fan's Life
TVXQ VOICES HELPED AWOKE A FAN WHO'S IN COMA.

21 year old Zhuang Xiao Han, is a die-hard fan of Korean famous boyband, TVXQ. Last year, she got into an accident and was seriously injured. The doctor announced that she will not be able to live more than 3 days. Zhuang's mum did not give up, she played TVXQ songs 24 hours everyday, and her daughter woke up! Zhuang's mum said, "I really thank TVXQ for letting me see a miracle."

Doctor expresses admiration.

Last year March, around 11pm at night, Zhuang Xiao Han was riding her bike home and got into an accident. She was sent to the Xiao Gang Hospital (小港醫院), doctor said that her head was seriously injured and she will not be able to live more than 3 days.

Zhuang's mum sobs and said, " I know she really likes TVXQ, so I played TVXQ songs everyday, in hope that she will survive. I don't care if she will become a vegetable, as long as she survive." Alas, she survived the 3 days, and was in a coma for 7 months, until one day, she miraculously woke up.

Zhuang's mum smiled and said, "I played TVXQ songs everyday, until the cd player spoilt. When she woke up, the first thing she said to her Dad was, to help her buy TVXQ's new album."

TVXQ will be having a concert at Taipei next month, 10th May 2008. Xiao Han's story spreads around Cassiopeias online. When the organiser of the concert heard of this news, they gave Xiao Han VIP tickets to TVXQ concert, a voucher to stay at Wang Han Hotel (王朝飯店) and a TVXQ album. During the period of her coma, Xiao Han went through a total of 5 operations.

When she received TVXQ Concert tickets, she was so happy and she tried her best to say, "Thank You."

THIS IS SO EFFING AMAZING! =D

I don't know to express how happy I am at the moment!! I'm so glad to hear that the fan finally woke up from her coma and to think it was because of TVXQ makes me a whole lot happier! To be honest, I felt like crying after reading this news.

Music does make a difference in everyone's life, huh?

I laughed when I read that her first words when she woke up was, 'Buy me TVXQ's new album.' LOL! Die hard fan indeed. I probably would do the same if I were in the same situation. HAHA! And omg, she got VIP tickets for free!! Lucky girl! XD I bet that should make up for the goodies she missed for the last 7 months she was in coma. Gah, I bet she would even be able to meet them in person! Envious yet happy for her! LOL!

I'm sure TVXQ or should I say DBSK, would be very happy to hear this.

I'm so proud!! ^^

TVXQ PAWNS!!

Dying with happiness,

DBSK Karaoke Fiesta
Remember me talking about how I'm going to meet the rest of the DBSK gang for Karaoke at 1U in my last entry?

Well, today's the day! XD

Gosh, I had so so much fun today! The whole time we were there was HILARIOUS! haha!! We were so hyper! >< Yeah, imagine a bunch of DBSK-obsessed freaks when they're grouped together at one place and you'll get a picture of how crazy but fun it can be.

Too bad Jean wasn't there. *sigh*

Anyway, we went there at about 11am and we watched a 11.50am movie; 'The Waterhorse'. To be honest, I was utterly disappointed like... about 20mins after the movie started. IT WAS THAT BORING! I regretted buying my RM7 ticket to watch this movie. If you're thinking of watching it, don't. Not worth it to watch in the cinema, trust me. Might as well buy the pirated dvd or something. ==" What made me stay throughout the whole movie was the magnificent scenery and the cute little Waterhorse. HAHA! Yeah, I won't deny how cute it is but really, the plot was boring. Wait, I don't think there was a plot at all! Alright, I should stop criticizing the movie. *zips mouth*

After our *boring* movie which finished at about 1.45pm, we met up with Jinli who came from college and headed straight for the karaoke place, 'Neway'. Third time we're going there together but we never really got bored of it. HAHA!

Here's a video of us singing our lungs out at Neway.
BE PREPARED FOR OUR NOISE POLLUTION! >D

We started karaoke-ing at about 2.15pm and left at about 4.30pm. We had to head back home earlier than planned because ZheRei's mom wanted her home early but oh well, I didn't mind. I had fun anyway. HAHA! We actually wanted to continue our karaoke session back at Jinli's place but due to last minute planning, my dad wouldn't let me.

Gee, the joys of having an overprotective parent. =="

All in all, I had such a good time today and I'm glad that I have friends like the DBSK gang(Jean, Jinli, Leeyee, Zherei). Somehow, I'm really happy we got so close with one another in just a mere year and a half. I just find it so amazing how DBSK can bring friends from different groups of people together and forming a new group of *crazy* friends. HAHA!

Gah, I LOVE YOU GIRLS!
We have to stay in touch forever alright?!
Cheers to DBSK Love and Our friendship!

Love,
Janey

Happiness is in Your hands
"When one door of happiness closes, another opens,
but often we look so long at the closed door that
we do not see the one that has been opened for us."
- Helen Keller

I came across this quote just now and I can't help but think how truthful it is. Don't you think so? I mean, so many people dwell in the past and not see the future. They tend to turn on a blind eye on what was in front of them. It's sad and depressing when you really think about it.

To those who are still stuck in the past, let go and run for the present and future because there's absolutely no point in changing what you can't change. Besides, there's only one person who could ever make you happy, and that person is YOU.

Only You hold the key to Happiness.

Just thought I should share this.
Sharing is caring! <3

Semester break! WHEEE!!~~
*throws confetti and pops champagne*

CHEERS TO SEMESTER BREAK!

Gosh, I'm SO HAPPY right now!! XD I just finished my finals yesterday and thankfully, Computer Principles wasn't that bad. I could at least answer about 60% of the paper which is totally a BIG achievement for me. HAHA! The final papers for all the subjects hold about 40% of our overall score and I got to know my scores for the 50% we had before the finals from Jon today(thank you JON!)

Study Skills:
43.6%/50%
- pretty good huh?

Computing Principles:
45%/50%
- pretty awesome too!

Intermediate English:
38.7%/50%
- OMG, SUCKY!! I can't believe I got so low for english! *cries*
- But what makes me happy is that I got 9.4/10 for Oral Presentation and Radiance told me that it's one of the best scores for all of Miss Aida's(my lecturer) classes. GOSH, SO HAPPY! What makes it more awesome is I did the preparation like the night before. =X Yeah, procrastination kicks ass!
- Midterms really pulled me down. 12/20. Drats.

Finite Maths:
22.8%/50%
- There's a possibility of me failing this but there's nothing i can do now. I hate numbers =X

Our passing mark is 50% so for SS, Computer and English, I guess I'm quite safe. But Maths? Nuh-uh. No way. I'm so screwed~ But anyway, I'm not going to let this bring me down. After all, I'm on HOLIDAY MOOD RIGHT NOW! WHEEEE!!!~~~

I can sleep late and wake up late and do whatever I want! WOO HOO! And my dance practices will start soon~ SO excited! Been a long time since I last dance and prepare to perform. I'm sure this performance will be BANGING! *gets all excited*

OH OH! And I can't wait for Friday! DBSK OUTING! YAYS! I'll be meeting the DBSK Gang; Leeyee, Zherei, Jinli, and Jean for karaoke and shopping at 1U at about noon on Friday. We'll be going for lunch and such. GOSH, CAN'T WAIT! I've been anticipating this outing for weeks! No, MONTHS! The last time we had a gathering was to celebrate YunJaeMin birthdays but the gang was not complete without Leeyee who was still stuck in NS. So yeah, this will be 3rd official outing. One and a few hours left! YAYS!

Gee, many MSN conversation boxes are popping up and my dear frens need me to reply them. AHHA!! So I gotta go now~

Till next time! *hugs*

Believe it or not; Some things do Exist
Seriously, I should be studying now.. but instead, I'm writing this.
Yeah, I'm a procrastinator so... PEACE! haha!
Anyway, I woke up at about 8.45 today to go for prayers. I had to go all the way to Nilai Memorial Park to 'visit' my great grandma, my granpa and my grand aunt. Yeah, all grand people. XD On the way there, my mom was telling me to not talk crap or joke around then my bro suggested that it would be best if we just shut up. LOL! My dear bro can be so funny at times.

Our conversation went something like this...

(In the car)
Mom: Jane, when we get there, don't joke around.
Me: *clueless* HUH? Why?
Mom: That place has many spirits so don't say anything to them.
Me: Mom, it's not like I'm going to go up to one of those stones and talk to them. =="
Mom: Who knows? Maybe you and Kelly would somehow see one goodlooking guy who looks like Jaejoong and then you say, 'He looks like Jaejoong! I wanna marry him!' and what happens when that spirit does FOLLOW you home?
Me: HAHAHHAHAHA!!!
Bro: Aiyah, just shut up la! Don't say anything when you get there. Safest way is to keep our mouth shut.
Me: *laughs harder*

Yeah, that was basically it. LOL! When we got there, we met up with Kelly and the rest of the Wong family. The 'visit' was so fun though! My mom who told me not to joke around, she crapped the most. Tsk, tsk. We brought food for 'them' to eat and yeah, we set up everything properly, with the chopsticks, tissue, drinks and everything ready for 'their' feast. We only do this once a year so yeah, it was pretty fun. Uncle David was so funny today >< size="1">Different sides(Head+tails) = Yes
Same sides(Head+head/tails+tails) = No

They answered; Yes.

After that, we just sat around to wait for 'them' to finish eating. Since there were 3 'people' who were my great grandma, my grandpa and my grand aunt, we spent at about 3omins sitting in the building(1omins per person). The first 10mins was with the oldest of course; My great grandma. I don't really have a vivid memory of her because she 'left' when I was very young and during most of the time in that first 10mins, other than joking around, my mom was telling me stories of 'her' taking care of me when I was a baby. Rather touching, you could say. Then my uncle had to ruin the moment by telling us what he wants when it was his turn blabla.. LOL! He was just so funny! TOUCH WOOD AGAIN! XD

After that 10mins, we moved on to our grandpa. LOL! For fun, my mom suggested that kelly should use the coins to ask grandpa a question/something and Kelly did.

Kelly: Will I be able to get straight As' for SPM?

*flip coins*

No.

HAHHAHAHHA!! We all started laughing. Then I said, 'The answer is obvious, isn't it?', earning a slap on my thighs from Kel. LOL! Soon after, everyone was getting restless to go home so my mom, me, my bro and Kelly went back out to ask 'them' whether they have finished their meal so we could clear them up and go. Again, we used the coins. I asked this time! HAHA! And guess wat? The answer was no. O_O So yeah, we waited some more. We then sat with my grand aunt this time. Aunt Kuen was there(My grand aunt & Aunt Kuen were bff's). Aunt Kuen said that my grand aunt said that we(Kel and I) got prettier. HAHA! My mom(again) then suggested we use coins to verify. I asked first...

'Did I get prettier?'

Yes.

HAHHAHAHAH!!! I was so flattered!

Kelly: 'What about me?'

No.

HAHHAHAHAHA!! Then I started laughing in victory. OH YEAH BABY! LOL. After our laughing fit and everyone was really desperate to go home, we went to ask 'them' whether 'they' finished eating again, Kelly flipped this time.

No.

I was thinking, 'We have to wait some more?!' Then I flipped.

No.

O_O 'Things can't be so much of a coincedence, can it?
Then, Aunt Kuen flipped.

No.

Still in disbelief, Uncle David flipped too. LOL!

NO.

WOW O_O It was 'No' for 4times in a row! Uncle David then asked my dad to flip.

Yes.

HAHA!! Then my mom playfully nagged us, saying that we're like forcing them to eat faster so that we could go back. LOL! I cracked a joke saying that the first time we asked, they calmly answered no. The second time, the 'No' came off slightly agitated. Third time, it was a stern 'NO'.
Fourth was 'NOOOOOOO!!! DON'T YOU GET IT? NOOOOO!!!!' HAHHA!! Everyone laughed then. It was rather an interesting experience and now, I'm coming more and more in believing the supernatural.

Who knows, right? They might exist?

It all comes down to one question actually...

'Do YOU Believe it or not?'

Anyway, I gotta go now. Have to study. MATHS EXAM TOMORO ><

Oh yes! Before I forget; Sorry for not providing pics. Wanted to bring my camera there but then I thought I might capture some 'things' accidentally so I decided against it. LOL! thanks for listening to my crappy story for today. Take care <3

L Changed MY WORLD!
WARNING: THIS MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS

I just came back from a movie. It's 12am right now; Yes, you're not mistaken. It's midnight but god, I'm in a total spazz mode for this movie I watched a while ago.

L ~Change the World~

"L ~Change the World~" was surprisingly pretty good. I sort of expected this movie to be boring, judging from the fact that the Death Note book would no longer exist in this movie and it was a whole new storyline with not much scenes of the previous cast from Death Note I & II. I kinda anticipated to fall asleep in this movie.

But, oh boy, was I wrong!

The plot was planned out well and the character development was really good. The suspense at some parts were killing! I was impressed at how they can actually pull everything together(when there is no longer any 'Light Vs L' kind of plot). The plot had a few twists here and there but I wont specify them because I know that some of you who's reading this may not have watched it yet. The whole movie was basically about environmental(insane!) terrorists who wants to destroy(or in their words; 'reduce the human population') to "protect" the Earth's ecosystem. They believed that the existence of humans was destroying mother earth and so, they plan to wipe all of us out by releasing this deadly virus which was first tested in a small village in Thailand - where a little boy escaped unharmed. L, who had wrote his name in the Death Note book(and burned it later) only had 23 days left to live and he plans to solve this last case before he leaves for more sweets in heaven.

The pace at the beginning was kinda slow but as the plot develops, it got more of my attention and not to mention that L is so undeniably cute and funny! HAHA!

I found L's character very amusing and more entertaining than the previous movies; he eats lots of sweets(which he later claims to be 'brain food'), types on his computer with two fingers(if he happens to not use one of them to put in his mouth), holds a book with two fingers as well and yeah practically does most things with two fingers. HAHA! XD But I've got to say that he was and will be my all-time favorite character from the Death Note series. Ken'ichi Matsuyama is just so cute!! BIG Applause to him and his good acting! He definitely brought out the best of L! And gah, I found him hot in the movie!

GAHH! Those intense eyes! *faints*
Shit, maybe this is a sign of me getting into gothic-looking guys. =X

To be honest, I couldn't really accept the fact that my favorite character would die when I first found out from the manga. We all know the ending of this movie even before watching it; L's going to die. That's the devastating part! It's sad when I had to watch him make the best out of his last 23 days and knows that he was going to die. I practically shed a few tears when it came to this part when he left Maki(the little girl) a message in her teddy bear. GOD! That was the time when my tears just keep falling!

Although this movie may not be the best out of the 3 Death Note movies, I still think it's worth to watch whether you're a fan or not. It's definitely entertaining, I guarantee that. SO GO WATCH IT NOW!

So there, 2 cents of my thoughts for this movie.
And before I leave, here's a small sweet cookie to sustain your hunger for a while.
L ~Change the world~ Trailer!

I would rate this movie: 3.8/5

Happy April Fools!
HAPPY APRIL FOOLS DAY EVERYONE!

The fact that I didn't get to prank anyone disappoints me. You may think that it's not really much of a big deal but hey, you can only do it once a year without anyone actually getting mad at you. HAHA! To add to the disappointment, CHOI MUN, my DEAR bestfriend PRANKED ME! She practically called me in the middle of the night and told me that she was going to move to somewhere far. Gullible, I believed her, judging by the fact that she's my bestfriend AND I was half asleep. Ugh, so yeah, she got me to believe her and only told me that it was actually a lie when I went out for dinner with her just a while ago. GAHHHH!! I swear I'll get her someday. Hmph!

So anyway, that's my story for today. I am so tired~ I hate it when I have early morning classes. They're a pain in the butt. =="
See yous and take care <3

Love,
The Lost Prankster
